Eating Cheese, Cream and Butter is Good for You?

Yes, you read this right – a new study has found that eating a high fat diet of cheese, cream, butter and other foods high in saturated fats, actually decreased the incidence of diabetes and heart disease. Along with the increase in fats, they also ate less carbohydrates, which would mean more foods like cheese on broccoli or tomatoes, full fat cream and milk products.

“The study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found overweight middle-aged men who ate high levels of saturated fat and low levels of carbohydrate became slimmer and healthier. Researchers also saw reduced blood pressure and glucose levels, which are associated with a lower risk of heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and cancer, in the patients.” [Read more…]
