Natural Facelift Tips

There are so many ways to lift your facial skin these days, if you choose to. OR, you can embrace your natural beauty at any age.

Dame Maggie SmithIf you do choose to do a “little something”, you have many alternatives from a cream to a machine, before considering the knife.

There are many topicals and injectables that can tighten the sags, plump the lips, fill in the crevices and freeze the wrinkles.

Surgery can pull up, pin up, or take off the excess skin being pulled down by gravity.

There are gadgets that deep clean with a brush, tighten with electrical current, radiate with light rays, penetrate with sound waves, and rev up the circulation.

Whatever you choose to do, just don’t overdo. We’ve all seen the ladies with duckbill lips from too much filler, or stretched up cheeks and eyes from a too tight facelift.

A little is good, and also coming to terms with the fact that we do age, and our looks change with the years.

To keep your skin looking it’s best, you want to nourish your skin from the inside out by:

  • eating plenty of colorful, fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, natural oils from nuts and avocados
  • drinking plenty of water, with a little lemon or lime spritzed in
  • taking a supplement or two – with ATP preferably to boost your cell’s energy
  • consuming antioxidants, like blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, a little dark chocolate daily
  • a good night of restful sleep – 7 – 8 hours each night

Nourishing and protecting your skin by:

  • regular cleansing (twice a day, morning and night) with deep pore and surface cleansers that maintain the skin’s natural protection and pH 5.5
  • topically applied antioxidants, skin cancer protectants, wrinkle fighters and cellular energizers
  • daytime moisturizers with sunscreen 25 – 30 spf
  • nighttime moisturizers that feed and nourish while you sleep and aren’t drinking water

Overall, regular exercise, taking time to relax and alleviate stress, having thoughts of gratitude and happiness, go a long, long way and show in your skin and on your face.

I do try (key word here is – try) to follow these tips each day, and use a beauty gadget to look and feel my best each day, no matter what stress comes my way. You’ve probably noticed in your own life that when one of these is off balance – like not enough sleep, forgetting to drink water, or splurging on chips or dessert too often – your skin shows it.

Don’t get down on yourself, just do better the next day.
