Spunk!

Don’t you think showing some spunk makes you look younger and fabulous? I do! How many women, or men, do you know who have a vibrant energy that defies their age? They look and act young, they energize a the whole room like rays of sunshine on a cloudy day. What does it take to be spunky, or whatever way you describe someone who is makes a positive difference in the lives of others each day?

Here’s what I think:

  • Good Health – there’s e
nergy in moving around with agility, having a “Spring in your step”!
  • Clear Eyes – so they twinkle with your smile, and can share your joy when you catch someone’s glance.
  • Happy Heart – that overflows to all around, through a smile and words of kindness.
  • Uplifting Words – what you say and how you say it can build others up, making them feel appreciated and encouraged.
  • That Extra Something – it’s really something special when just being around someone makes a difference in your life.

Spunk is special, almost magical, that can lift heavy spirits, bring someone out of the doldrums, and inspire others to reach higher, do better.

People with “spunk” work harder, are focused on how to help others, rather than themselves. They give what’s required, and then some, making the mundane extraordinary.

I am fortunate, more so, blessed, to have a lot of spunky people in my life. The valets at the hospital I work always go the extra mile for each visitor who’s car they care for. The servers in the smokehouse at the grocery store I frequent, always do extra things for me to help me with my weekly shopping, and make my home better all week long, because I know my family’s nutrition is taken care of. My colleagues in my skin care business, always ready with a kind work of encouragement. My Clients are phenomenal, a true and total joy to work with, and help with their skin care needs, and are so precious to me! My family is very loving, patient and kind, pitching in and working together to help our household flow all together, and always ready to share some humor to bring a smile to me at the end of a long day. That’s a whole lot of spunkiness raining down on me each day!

Together, they, and many more, lift me up each day, so I can have some spunk to be the best I can be, too!!
