Our face is not the only place we show our age, yet it is the one part of our body that we focus the most attention on. On the opposite end of the attention spectrum tends to be our neck. We’ve all seen her, the woman with the beautiful face and the wrinkled neck. She looks younger than her actual age, until you glance down. Don’t let your neck age you before your time … don’t neglect your neck!
The skin on our neck is often the most exposed part of our skin. No matter how good we are at covering up or applying sunscreen, often times, the sun’s unrelenting rays still reach our neck. As a result, lines and wrinkles tend to show earlier on our neck and décolleté, sometimes as soon as age 30.
The solution for wrinkle neck is simple, especially as a preventative measure … extend your anti-aging regimen for face to your neck and décolleté. Treat both as an extension of your face, and you won’t have to invest in turtle necks or scarfs as time creeps up on you. Here are my suggestions:
Curl your tongue up and back, pressing it against the roof of your mouth. Hold for a few seconds and repeat. Do this exercise a few times a day, in the car or while you’re at the computer. The contractions will help keep your jaw muscles firm and prevent more sagging.
Skin Firming Gadget
I use and love a small handheld Home Beauty Gadget with Galvanic, Far Infrared, Ultrasound and Micromassage functions (FDA approved). Three to four times a week for continuous firming, or for a couple of days right before a big event that you want to look especially vibrant.
