How do you lighten up the larger, deeper wrinkles – you know, the ones between your eyebrows and on the sides of your nose down to your chin? You have them, too? Feeling like a ‘wrinkle dog” some days?
Here are my tips for lightening, reflecting and concealing the “11′s” as they are referred to, with a few makeup tricks. I call the the one between my eyebrows the “furrow of concentration”, because it comes when I am concentrating, and the one on the sides of my nose and mouth the “parentheses of happiness”, because it comes from smiling big and often!
Step 1: Skin Care Routine. Do your complete anti-aging skin care regimen. I use and recommend Celloxylin Skin Care.
Step 2: Allow your Moisturizer a few minutes to absorb.
Step 3: Dot a light veil all over your face to smooth out perfections. Use one with pigment technologies that will reflect blue and green light, to give you a youthful glow. I recommend Nothing to Hide Pure Perfecting Veil.
Step 4: Use a Cream Concealer that is less chalky, more creamy to pat into the crevices. I pat it onto my eyelids, under eyes, between the eye and side of the mouth 11′s. Pat in until blended with your skin -(try your best not to pull or tug at your skin). I use Josie Maran’s Concealer.
Step 5: Close your eyes and brush on a light reflecting mineral powder all over your face – a nice light layer. Use a cosmetic sponge to remove excess and smooth everything together. I use Nothing to Hide Pure Perfecting Protectors (30 SPF).
Now your canvas is smooth and ready for the artists touch of colors!
That’s another blog post or two!
